Zircon Skye Production is an audio recording, editing, mix and production facility as well as an independent record label and music publisher; located in the beautiful artistic getaway Ojai, California; 70 miles north of Los Angeles.

The Zircon Skye Production publishing library offers 100% pre-cleared master quality independent music in many styles. Our engineers, producers, musicians and songwriters are experienced in creating pop, rock, country, rap, reggae, world, new age, electronica, Celtic, Latin, punk, metal, jazz, classical – you name it – providing a one-stop solution for music acquisition and placement in film, TV, commercials, stage, etc.

Our songs have been placed in major motion pictures such as Nurse Betty (Morgan Freeman, Rene Zellweger, Chris Rock) and After Sex (Brooke Shields). All songs on our Publishing Sampler CD are available online in a downloadable MP3 format for convenience and expedient review.

The studio, fine-tuned by master acoustician George Augsperger, features the best of vintage analog recording equipment alongside a fully equipped Pro Tools|HD4 digital system and tons of great plug-ins. New to ZSP in 2003 is our 5.1 surround system driven by ADAM S3-A monitors and controlled using the Martin Sound MultiMAX EX. We've also added a fully-loaded t.c. electronic M6000 w/ remote Icon interface for over-the-top audio sweetening.

Our control room, main tracking (1)and isolation rooms (3) are each setup for optimum functionality and sound. So whether you need an acoustically dead treatment for vocal overdubs; a high-ceiling open room for recording a string ensemble or capturing that “Led Zep” drum sound; or a MIDI /sampler / looping station packed with great gear from Kurzweil, Arp, Mackie, Roland, Alesis, Electrix, Yamaha, and Hammond, complete with a networked iMac powering a 96k Digi 002 Pro Tools v6.0 rig-- Zircon Skye is well-equipped to meet your production needs.
